Supporting childcare in Dalry
Last Christmas the 43 children who attend Dalry Out of School Care, located at Dalry Community Centre, all received a Christmas present at their annual Christmas Party.
A £2,000 grant was awarded by the Dalry Parish Boundary Trust (DPBT) to the group, who are run by a voluntary committee, to provide presents for the children who attend the after school club.
The money was spent on new HD tablets which will allow the children to develop their technology skills as well as complete their homework whilst attending the after school club. The rest of the grant will be spent on a new table tennis table for the group to replace the old, dated table they currently have.
Educational Ranger at Community Windpower Pete Boustead and now DPBT Trustee, said: “We are delighted to have supported another vital part of the local Dalry community.
“After school clubs are beneficial to children’s development providing a safe space for children to mix with existing friends. This grant will help children find new ways to complete their homework as well as learning new technology-related skills.
“We also look forward to seeing the new table tennis table which will bring hours of joy to the children at the after school club”.
