Pupils organised for new school term

Gateside Primary School Pupil Planners

Pupils at Gateside Primary School in North Ayrshire will once again be the most organised in the region, thanks to help from Dalry Community Wind Farm.

For the second consecutive year the operator of the wind farm, Community Windpower, has purchased Pupil Planners for the whole school.

The planners are used to help the children track their learning, both in school and at home, supporting their long-term education.

They also act as a historical reference for the work each pupil produces each year.

Catriona Logan, acting head teacher at Gateside Primary School, said: “Gateside Primary School greatly appreciates Dalry Community Wind Farm purchasing their Gateside Pupil Planners for them this year.

“These are used daily in class and at home and help keep the children and their families organised. It is also used as record of the child’s individual achievement for the year.

“We feel privileged that the wind farm and Community Windpower support us with this initiative. Thank you from everyone at Gateside.”

Community Windpower’s community benefits director, Diane Wood, said: “We’re delighted to be able to fund the Pupil Planners for all pupils at Gateside Primary School.

“It’s vital that all children are given support to learn during their early years at school, and these planners will enable them and their parents to chart progress during the year and reflect on just how far they’ve come during their time at school.

“We know the school and pupils will make the most of the planners and hope they’re all enjoying life back in the classroom.”
