One day to go until the CWL Challenge 2018!

Tomorrow will see the CWL team hike the Yorkshire Three Peaks in aid of Brain Tumour Research. The team will be setting off at 6am from Horton-in-Ribblesdale and aiming to finish the 24.5 mile route in under 12 hours. The three peaks of Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough involve a combined total ascent of 1450m and it looks set to be one of the most testing CWL Challenges to date.

CWL are continuing a 6-year old tradition of annual Challenges, which has previously seen the team hiking Ben Nevis, the Sandstone Trail and even canoeing the River Dee. These Challenges have been partnered with charities to help raise money for great causes, which most recently include Pancreatic Cancer UK, Anthony Nolan, and the Tarporley War Memorial Hospital.

This year, CWL will be completing the 2018 Challenge in aid of Brain Tumour Research. Brain Tumour Research are the only national UK charity dedicated to raising funds for continuous and sustainable scientific research into brain tumours and aim to find a cure for brain tumours, which is the highest killer of children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer.

We have set a £20,000 target and would appreciate any donations towards the great work that the charity achieves. We are currently at 72% of our total so please help us reach our target at:

We will be keeping our social media feeds updated as we hike tomorrow so make sure that you are following us on Twitter and Instagram for our live updates.
