Medals for Dunbar Juniors Hockey Festival
Dunbar Juniors Hockey Club offers children from Primary 1 up to the age of 16 a place to learn how to play hockey with like-minded individuals. The club welcomes players of all abilities and provides coaching from basic to advanced skill levels. Additionally, the team also competes against other junior hockey teams in East Lothian and beyond.
This year, Dunbar Junior Hockey Club will be hosting their first hockey festival in 4 years where local teams will come to compete and socialise with each other throughout the day. Community Windpower and BeGreen Dunbar are proud to support this event through a £408 donation that will go towards the purchasing of medals for the top teams right across the age groups.
Hockey is a growing sport that focuses on developing youngsters’ coordination and communication skills. It helps maintain a healthy lifestyle whilst simultaneously providing an opportunity for young people to get together and socialise whilst playing their favourite sport.
Anouska Woods, Community Coordinator at BeGreen Dunbar said, “We are always delighted to help support local clubs in the community that provide a valuable opportunity for youngsters to discover sports they may never have considered before. We look forward to supporting many more diverse sports clubs in the future.”
