Issue 14 of the North Ayrshire Today is available now!
Over 2,800 copies of the North Ayrshire Today newspaper have been delivered to every household within the Dalry Parish Boundary. In addition to this, copies of the paper have been distributed to all MSPs and MPs within Scotland and all councillors in East Ayrshire and North Ayrshire.
North Ayrshire Today is a local paper that provides information and news from Dalry, and the surrounding areas. It offers a promotional spotlight for local groups, charities, and organisations to raise awareness of their work and activity in the community. The cost of this print run and delivery has been covered by the Dalry Parish Boundary Trust, which receives community benefit funding from Community Windpower’s Millour Hill & Extension Wind Farms.
The 16-page Spring 2023 edition of the paper is packed with interesting articles including details about the return of the Dalry & Millour Hill Wind Farms Family Open Day, our most ambitious Christmas hamper packing day ever, our incredible wind farms and our most recent community funding stories.
This edition of the Newspaper also features important information regarding our recently established Dalry Parish Boundary Trust Energy Fund. Through a partnership between Community Windpower and the Dalry Parish Boundary Trust, and administered by Advice Direct Scotland, the £300,000 energy fund has been established to assist vulnerable residents within Dalry with the rising costs of their energy bills.
The fund is open to those living in relevant KA24 postcodes in Dalry and grants and eligibility will depend on individual circumstances. There will be a focus on households with children living in poverty, people living with cancer, those in receipt of a disability benefit, pensioners, and households which use a large amount of energy to power medical equipment.
