NA Front COver

The Autumn editions of East Coast Today and North Ayrshire Today have now been released and are available on our website. The papers have also been distributed free to local community groups, shops, and businesses.

East Coast Today and North Ayrshire Today are our local papers that provide information and news from Dunbar and Dalry, and the surrounding areas. They provide a promotional spotlight for local groups, charities, and organisations to raise awareness of their work and activity in the community.

The 16-page Autumn issues are packed with interesting articles about local information including details of: Dalry Scout Hall, North Ayrshire Foodbank, our Educational Ranger, Dalry Parish Boundary Trust and Dalry Community Development Hub in North Ayrshire and of: Cathleen Anderson our new BeGreen Community Coordinator, Aikengall IIa Community Wind Farm Construction, Abbey St Bathans new Village Hall, and the Cockburnspath Village Shop on the East Coast.

Our papers demonstrate how community benefit funding from our wind farms are distributed to the community, detailing where and how the funding is used in the locally. The paper also features stories from other donations made by Community Windpower Ltd (CWL) and updates on our £255,000 COVID-19 Crisis Fund.

Be sure to read about what CWL are doing to help Scotland achieve its ambitious climate targets in light of the upcoming UN Climate Change Conference – COP26 – in Glasgow this November.

The community newspapers have been distributed in the local areas and can be found in several locations including local libraries, doctors, schools and shops. Alternatively, you can click here for the East Coast Today paper or click here for the North Ayrshire Today paper to read online or download an electronic copy.

We hope you enjoy reading North Ayrshire Today and East Coast Today and finding out more about CWL’s work within our local host communities.
