Innerwick Primary Spring Fayre 2023 supported with £1,325
As costs for everyday items and luxuries have risen in recent years, the Innerwick Primary Parent Council reached out to Community Windpower, through BeGreen Dunbar, for funding to help with the cost of hiring fun activities and equipment for their Spring Fayre this year.
CWL provided £1,325 in community benefit funding for this purpose, facilitating the hire of an inflatable slide, a bouncy castle, a fun assault course, facepainting, and other treats. The Parent Council reached out for this funding as the Spring Fayre is their biggest fundraiser each year, and any money raised on the day goes straight back in to support the school’s extracurricular activities, school trips, and learning opportunities.
The yearly Spring Fayre is a wholesome day for all the family, with stalls, food, fun activities, and prizes. Community Windpower has provided funding support for this in previous years, with Anouska Woods, Community Coordinator at BeGreen Dunbar, saying: “This donation means the Parent Council can focus completely on raising as much money on the day as possible, which will mean the students can continue to enjoy so many trips and fun extracurricular experiences. We hope that everyone attending the day has a wonderful time!”
