Final Season for Dunbar United Colts 2004
The Dunbar United Colt 2004s are entering their final season as a team before the group moves into the seniors team.
Community Windpower Ltd have been proud sponsors of the 2004s Dunbar Colts for the last 10 years and are delighted to once again provide them with funding, through BeGreen Dunbar, for the team to purchase their final training kit together.
Dunbar United Colts FC have enjoyed a long history, first established in the 1960 and was known as Belhaven Boys Club. Since then the club has grown, adopting the name of Dunbar United Colts FC in 1992 before moving to their current facility at Hallhill Sports Centre in 2000. Currently the club has more teams than ever before from Primary 1’s right up to an adults amateur football team.
Football is an important sport for the younger generation and indeed the wider community as it stimulates personal development, builds upon key life skills, allows people to develop friendships and helps maintain good levels of health and fitness.
Diane Wood, Community Benefits Director at Community Windpower said, “ We have been delighted to support the 2004s Dunbar Colts over the last 10 years and are sad to hear that this will be the team’s last season together. It is our hope that they enjoy their last season together and we wish them all the best for the future.”
