CWL delighted to fund Beith Primary School P2 trip to Dumfries House – 22nd June 2018

Beith Primary School’s P2 visited Dumfries House where they had the opportunity to feed and learn about various farm animals, and learn about trees as part of a woodland walk.
The children enjoyed feeding chickens, ducks, geese and turkeys, and also met rare breeds of pigs, sheep and cattle. They were even allowed to pet the ducklings. After that, the children took part in a woodland walk where they learnt about the bark of a redwood, measured trees, made bark rubbings and found froglets.
BeGreen Dalry’s Educational Ranger Pete Boustead accompanied the pupils and teachers on their trip, and said they had a fantastic time. CWL are delighted to have funded the trip and are glad to see that the pupils had such a great time.
