CWL confirm Memorandum of Understanding with Kelloholm Primary School - 21st March
Community Windpower are delighted to announce that we have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Kelloholm Primary School which confirms our commitment to work with the school for the long term life of our wind farms in the local community.
Community Windpower are committed to developing close working relationships with host communities and local schools, offering our consented Sanquhar Community Wind Farm and Sanquhar ‘Six’ Community Wind Farm as a resource which people will see as a local asset. The educational support we provide to the local schools is part of an ongoing commitment to our host communities and is part of the company’s overall ethos regarding education.
Staff from Community Windpower are looking forward to working closely with Kelloholm Primary School, providing educational presentations and interactive workshops on a variety of topics ranging from Renewable Energy and Climate Change, to Sustainability and Waste Awareness to all age groups and providing support to the school with their Eco-School status.
This builds upon our MoU and working partnerships already in place with Sanquhar Primary School, where we have been providing educational presentations for a number of years and assistance with their Eco-School status, and Sanquhar Academy where we support their National 5 Skills for Work: Energy Course.
