Community Windpower grant sends St Palladius pupils to sunny Saltcoats
For some topics at school, sometimes the best learning experiences happen outside of the classroom. For St Palladius pupils (P1 and P2) learning about the seaside, some sunny weather across Scotland provided the perfect opportunity for a beach visit to Saltcoats.
A community benefits grant of £210, distributed through DPBT, covered the cost of the bus trip to and from Saltcoats. Fiona Wyper, Principal Teacher of St Palladius Primary School, said: “The grant will provide children of Dalry with an exciting educational experience which will enhance their learning linked to their topics in school. It will also allow the children to experience areas outwith their home town, which is something not all have the opportunity to do.”
The pupils visited Saltcoats beach in the beautiful sunshine, and they also visited a soft play area and had an ice cream. We hope that all of those who attended had a wonderful, fun, and educational day!
