Community Windpower delighted to fund St Palladius trip to Winmarleigh Hall – May 2017

P6 and P7 pupils from St Palladius Primary had a brilliant time on their week away to Winmarleigh Hall recently, and were given a chance to experience new activities such as archery, wall climbing and quad biking.

The week involved many challenges for the pupils, and was a perfect opportunity for them to develop crucial teamwork skills through the demanding and physical challenges which will help throughout their studies. The children all managed to complete the ‘Vertical Challenge’ which involved a very wobbly climb to the top, as well as climbing up a telegraph pole, balancing on the top and then jumping off onto the trapeze. They were nervous of climbing at first, but their confidence improved throughout their time away, with Educational Ranger Pete Boustead commenting that “It was really great to see how the kids developed over the course of the week”, especially as

Meg Henning, Principal Teacher, said “Everyone at St Palladius would like to thank Pete and all at Community Windpower for the fabulous donation”. Community Windpower are delighted to have been able to have provided the funding and are glad to see that everyone involved had a great time.
