Community Windpower backs Dunbar wakeboarding star Charlotte Docherty
Charlotte ‘Lotte’ Docherty, a student from Dunbar, has been wakeboarding for four years. Charlotte has made a rapid journey to the top of her sport, currently shining as 1st in Great Britain and 4th in the world for her age group. Whilst her journey started at Foxlake Adventures in Dunbar, Scotland’s first cable wakeboarding park, she now trains and competes as part of Team GB and this achievement will take her all over the globe.
Community Windpower are delighted to provide sponsorship as she tackles her next challenge: the British Wakeboarding National Championships and the World Championship in Thailand. The sponsorship money will cover training costs and will also pay for competition entry fees and some replacement equipment. As both of these illustrious events are taking place in October 2022, we wish Charlotte the very best of luck for the competitions!
Anouska Woods, Community Coordinator at BeGreen Dunbar, said: “Lotte’s local talent is well-known in Dunbar, and we are delighted to see her making such large strides in the world of cable wakeboarding. At Community Windpower and BeGreen, we are honoured to have Lotte representing Dunbar on the world stage, and we know all the hard work and training will pay off. Good luck Lotte!”
