Abbey Primary enjoy an Educational visit to Dalry and Millour Hill Community Wind Farms - 9th June
Yesterday, P6 from Abbey Primary were taken to see the Dalry and Millour Hill Community Wind Farms, being taken on a unique tour by BeGreen Dalry’s Educational Ranger Pete, which allowed the pupils to walk right up to the turbines! The trip was a great success as the children learnt all about renewable electricity generation and seeing the turbines in action.
Abbey Primary P6 class were overjoyed with the experience saying “Many thanks to Ranger Pete who took us up to see the wind farm at Dalry. It was awesome to see the wind turbines and to be able to stand right next to one. We never knew they were so tall. Really impressive to see them spinning and making electricity”
Community Windpower are thrilled that Abbey Primary enjoyed the trip and got to fully experience the turbines, there are some great pictures as well!
