£5,000 for Scotland's Charity Air Ambulance

Community Windpower Ltd (CWL) are pleased to announce a donation of £5,000 towards the vital work being done by Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance (SCAA).
Staff from Community Windpower were delighted to visit Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance base in Perth to present the cheque and learn more about the work of the charity. SCAA’s Chief Executive Gavin Davey OBE gave a presentation to CWL staff explaining the history behind the charity and the work that they do across Scotland. Mr Davey also shared some of the remarkable stories of the air ambulance’s callouts and showed photographs of the air ambulance and its crew in action in a range of situations.
SCAA’s helicopter air ambulance service was launched in May 2013 and relies 100% on donations. To date, Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance has responded to 281 time critical emergency callouts and provides important additional air ambulance capacity in Scotland.
During the visit to SCAA’s base in Perth, there was also the opportunity for Community Windpower staff to meet crew members and have a close look at the helicopter.
Community Windpower Ltd look forward to welcoming Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance to the Family Open Day at Dalry Community Wind Farm on Saturday 14th June 2014.
