Student Placements, Internships and Work-based Learning

students

As part of our commitment to supporting education, employment and investment in Scotland, Community Windpower has partnerships with several colleges, through which Student Placement Schemes are delivered.

The placements are designed for students on engineering courses or Wind Turbine Technicial City & Guilds course, who wish to pursue careers within the renewable energy industry following the completion of their studies. The placements are based at Community Windpower's Head Office and are designed to provide students with an understanding of the whole onshore wind energy industry and the opportunities for specialism within it.

The placements also provide students with an understanding of how the company operates and provides a real hands-on experience with a successful developer and operator of onshore wind farms in Scotland.

Placements are currently offered to students from Ayrshire College, West College Scotland and Borders College, with a long-established link also in place with Chester University.
