The Rullie Community Windfarm is at the pre-planning application stage. It is envisaged that a planning application will be submitted to both Falkirk and Stirling Council by the end of the summer 2010.
Where is the proposed site?
The proposed site is located approximately 2km northwest of Denny and Dunipace and 4.5km southwest of Bannockburn.

Rullie Community Windfarm comprises of 13 turbines and would generate up to 32.5 megawatts (MW) of clean, green, locally sourced electricity. The proposed turbines would have a maximum tip height of 130m.

Environmental Benefits
Rullie Community Windfarm would generate electricity to power over 18,000 homes and would displace over 36,000 tonnes of Carbon Dioxide per annum.
Community Benefits
As part of the Rullie Community Windfarm, £75,000 will be provided for community benefits which could include a Be Green Energy Advice Service, an Educational Ranger to work with local schools, specialising in the delivery of environmental topics, funding for environmental and eco-friendly community projects, educational presentations, student bursaries and sponsorship for community events.
