New poll finds the British public among the least concerned about climate change - 1st February

CLIMATE

The survey finds the British public is far more concerned about population growth than climate change.

As part of the YouGov survey published recently, 18,000 participants from 17 different countries were questioned about the most concerning issues globally.

Climate change was perceived as the third most concerning issue globally, however, Britons felt that armed conflicts and population growth pose a greater threat.

The study found that those most concerned about climate change are people in Hong Kong, Denmark and Sweden.  In contrast to this, the UK, US and Saudi Arabia were the three least-concerned countries about climate change.

Climate change overall received a 12.8% share of concern, ranking only behind international terrorism and the threat of poverty as the most concerning global issues.
