CWL delighted to fund 3,500 Outdoor Centre Trip for Dalry Primary School 10th January 2019

Dalry School

Dalry Primary School’s P7 classes are currently on a visit to an outdoor centre on the Isle of Arran. The children are excited to set off for their action-packed week of adventurous educational activities including; cycling, orienteering and Environmental Conservation, which is backed up by CWL’s Educational Ranger Pete in the classroom.

As well as a wide range of activities, the centre aims to develop the student’s personal experiences with the outdoors, promote a greater awareness of environmental issues, and develop critical social skills for the transition to secondary school.

Dalry Primary School received £3,500 from Community Windpower (CWL) through Dalry Parish Boundary Trust (DBPT) to support this wonderful educational trip. CWL are proud to solely fund the DBPT through the operational Millour Hill and Millour Hill Extension Community Wind Farms.

Millour Hill and Millour Hill Extension Community Wind Farms provide over £120,000 per year to DBPT. DBPT then use that funding to support many excellent community activities and initiatives like this.

Any local community groups or schools wishing to apply for funding should visit their website http://www.dpbt.org.uk/
