CWL and DYW Borders partner with Hawick High School for Career Pathway Talks - 4th November

Haweick High

Community Windpower Ltd (CWL) were very excited to visit Hawick High School to deliver a presentation on career pathways and gaining the right skills for the right job. CWL worked in partnership with Developing the Young Workforce (DYW) Borders to give the fourth year students an insight as to how three members of the Projects Team got into their current roles and explained the pathways that have led them to such exciting careers within the renewable energy sector.

Imogen Heard of DYW Borders added “The presentation was great at showing the different routes to employment and how there is no wrong path. What both Ben and Tim said in the presentation is exactly the message we promote, especially when the DYW social media campaign #NoWrongPath takes place on exam result day.”

CWL are also exceptionally proud to support growth in Scotland through employment, investment and education as part of our ongoing ‘Buy Scottish’ initiative. We look forward to continuing our partnership with DYW Borders, as well as the primary schools, secondary schools and colleges local to our seven operational wind farms, and our proposed projects currently in planning.
