Position: Civil Engineer
Full/Part Time: Full time
Location: Based at our Head Office in Cheshire
Qualifications/Experience:
- Qualified Civil Engineer required with 5 years minimum experience.
- Experience within the renewable sector is preferable.
- Experience essential in preperation and analysis of tender documentation, including CDM regulations, review of design and build projects and overseeing construction of various schemes around the UK.
- Working with our Development team designing new wind energy projects.
- Experience in the electrical installation and grid connection of renewable energy generation is desirable.
- A knowledge of AutoCad would also be desirable.
- Full driving licence is essential

Position: Administrator for Dunbar Carbon Neutral
Full/Part Time: Full time
Location: Dunbar
Applications are invited for the post of Administrator at Dunbar Carbon Neutral, an advice-shop for low & zero carbon emissions, based in Dunbar.
Duties will include: advising householders and small businesses on energy efficiency, carbon reduction, micro-generation technology, and grant applications; monitoring of selected household carbon reduction projects; updating customer carbon footprint information; and general administration.
You will have a keen interest in energy efficiency and carbon reduction, be highly motivated and able to work independently, and have good communication and interpersonal skills. In-depth technical knowledge of energy efficiency and micro-generation is not required.
The post is full-time, £20,000 pa (pro rata - working hours to be agreed) but with a requirement to work Saturday mornings and to attend occasional evening meetings. You will be employed and line-managed by the Dunbar Community Development Company, a non-profit company, and supported by a Sustainability Manager from Community Windpower.
